Conference Buddy Program

We are very excited to introduce the Conference Buddy Program as part of the ISJR Conference 2023! This optional program aims to foster meaningful connections and support the professional growth of our participants, particularly those who are new to the conference or seeking guidance within the field.

Program Description:
The Conference Buddy Program pairs experienced senior participants with non-experienced junior participants, creating a supportive framework for knowledge exchange, networking, and enhancing the overall conference experience. Through this program, we encourage a culture of mentorship and collaboration within the ISJR community.

Senior Participants (Senior Buddies) and Junior Participants (Junior Buddies) have the freedom to shape their buddy relationships according to their preferences and needs. The specific nature and extent of guidance, support, and engagement are determined by the buddies themselves.

Possible activities and benefits of the buddy program include:

• Sharing Expertise: Senior buddies can share insights, advice, and guidance related to the conference theme, research, and career development based on their wealth of knowledge and experience.
• Facilitating Networking: Senior buddies can help junior buddies connect with other conference participants, facilitating meaningful networking opportunities.
• Offering Guidance: Senior buddies can assist junior buddies in navigating the conference schedule, selecting relevant sessions, and maximizing their overall conference experience.
• Engaging in Discussions: Buddies can encourage dialogue and engage in discussions, providing valuable feedback and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Participation in the Conference Buddy Program is optional, but we highly encourage both senior and junior participants to take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect, learn, and grow together within the ISJR community.

The allocation of buddies will take place a few days prior to the conference. At that time, we will assign buddies to each other and share their contact information, including email addresses.

Update (19.07.2023): Buddy groups are built and informed. All participants that signed up for the buddy program should have received an email.
